ABOUT THE BIOGUARD VISA PREPAID CARD

A: The delivery delay will depend on the format available in your region: virtual cards (delivered by e-mail) will be received within 3 business days; physical cards will be received within 4 to 6 weeks.
A: It was not possible to make every cash card format available in all regions:
  • US: consumers can choose between physical or virtual cards
  • Canada: physical cards only
A: Visa is the supplier of the card, and so physical cards are valid at all locations that accept Visa. Virtual cards can only be used for online purchase.
A: The currency of the card depends on the region: American cards will be in USD and Canadian cards will be in CAD.
A: The value of the card is the same by region:
  • US: $US $20
  • CA: $CA $20
A: Yes. The card must be used within 6 months of its creation date. Please note that expired cards will not be replaced or reimbursed.

PIN

You may visit MyPrepaidCenter.com to select a PIN. The Card, however, does not provide ATM or cash access. If you do create and use a PIN, consider use of the Card as a debit transaction, not credit.

Visit MyPrepaidCenter.com and opt-in to receive available balance and transaction alerts any time there is activity associated with the Card. Standard text message, data rates, fees, and other charges may apply.

COMMON DECLINE REASONS

GAS STATIONS

The Card will be decline if used to complete a pump transaction. You may only use the Card for transactions within the station.

GRATUITY

Some merchants (e.g. restaurants, hotels, spas, cruise lines) may require an authorization for an amount higher than the indicated purchase amount to cover gratuity, incidentals or other applicable charges. If your total remaining Card balance is less than the amount requiring authorization, see: USING MULTIPLE FORMS OF PAYMENT below. You may need to complete the purchase for an amount as much as 20% below the total remaining balance of the Card in order to cover gratuities, incidentals or other applicable charges.

HOTELS/CAR RENTALS

Only use the Card to pay your bill at the time of hotel checkout or upon the return a rental car. Do not use the Card to make reservations or at check-in/car pick-up. Doing so will cause the funds to be frozen for up to 30 days and may cause the Card to be declined for other purchases within that period.

USING MULTIPLE METHODS OF PAYMENT

Always use the Card last (in order of application) in the case of purchases made with multiple methods of payment so that the amount swiped will be equal to or below the current Card balance.

INTERNATIONAL USE

This Card can be used without EMV Technology (chip and PIN) by asking the merchant to swipe the Card as Credit. If the merchant declines the Card report the problem at usa.visa.com/support/consumer/travel-support.html. View the prohibited country listing at MyPrepaidCenter.com before using the Card outside of the U.S. and Canada.

RECURRING PAYMENTS

The Card cannot be used for recurring charges, such as magazine subscriptions, monthly memberships, or to pay bills.

CALLING ON BEHALF OF THE CARDHOLDER

Call Customer Service in order to authorize a third-party to receive information on your behalf.

PROBLEMS AT THE POINT OF SALE

Call the number on the back of the Card and Customer Service will assist the merchant with the transaction.

Record the Card number and the toll-free contact number on the back of the Card. See LOST OR STOLEN CARD below.

LOST OR STOLEN CARD

Call Customer Service immediately in the instance of Card loss or theft. Please be prepared to provide the Card number. If your call is made before the expiration date you will be sent a new Card containing the balance remaining at the time of your call. Fees may apply. See below for further information.

FEES ASSOCIATED WITH THIS CARD

CARD EXPIRATION

The Card expires at after midnight EST the last day of the month of the valid thru date indicated on the front of the Card. Once the valid thru date has passed the Card will be considered void and will not be replaced. The Card will no longer be accepted at participating merchants and any value remaining after the valid thru date will no longer be available for use.
